Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Use a suitable press and Tool (C) to install two bearings (19) and spacer (20) on the water pump shaft.

- Install two retaining rings (17) and two washers (18) on the water pump shaft.

- Use a suitable press to install shaft assembly (16) in the water pump housing.

- Install retaining ring (15) with Tool (B) .

- Install the seal assembly in the water pump housing with a pipe that is 38.1 mm (1.5 inch) in diameter and of suitable length.

- Use Tool (A) to install retaining ring (14) that holds the seal assembly in position on the water pump shaft.

- Install plate (12) in the water pump housing. Ensure that locator pin (13) is aligned with the slot in the water pump housing.

- Position cam (11) in the water pump housing.

- Lubricate O-ring seal (9) with 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound and install bolt (10) and O-ring seal (9) on the water pump housing.
- Install the key on the water pump shaft.

- Install pump impeller (8) in the water pump housing.
- Position cover plate (7) on the water pump housing and install three bolts (6) and the washers.

- Ensure that lip seal (5) is seated properly in mounting plate (4) .

- Position mounting plate (4) on the water pump housing and install four bolts (3) and the washers.

- Position gear (2) on the water pump shaft. Install nut (1) and the washer.
