Tool Adjustment Menu

Note: This is function is not available if your machine is equipped with a "HAMMER VALVE".

In order to reach the "Tool Adjust" menu, access the "SERVICE OPTIONS PW" menu. See Systems Operation, "Service Options PW Menu" for more information. After you have reached the menu, press the down key (6) in order to highlight "TOOL ADJUST". Press the OK key (8). You can press the CANCEL key (7) at any time in order to return to the main menu.

In order to view configured tools, press the RIGHT key (2) or the LEFT key (5). The Monitor will display all possible tool programs one at a time. In order to configure a tool, perform the following steps. When a tool is selected that has not been configured (all spaces in the tool name line), "NOT CONFIGURED" will be displayed in the tool name area.

  1. Select the tool to be configured using the RIGHT key or the LEFT key. A tool that has been configured will have the tool name in the tool name area. A tool that has not been configured will have "NOT CONFIGURED" in the tool name area. Press the OK key (8) in order to indicate that this is the tool that is to be configured. See the figure below.

  1. Enter a tool name of 14 digits or less. The OK key will move the curser to the RIGHT and will wrap to the first digit when the last digit is reached. The Monitor will not allow advancement to the next parameter until a tool name has been entered. To enter a name, use the upward key (1) or the downward key (6) in order to scroll through the possible characters. The possible characters are A through Z, then 0 through 9. Press the SET key (3) when the desired name is in place. Once a tool name is entered, the Monitor will display a RIGHT arrow to enable the rest of the parameters to be displayed. See the figure below.

  1. Adjust the parameter. The Monitor will display the parameters that are available for the selected tool one at a time. Use the RIGHT key or the LEFT key to scroll the parameters. When the desired parameter is displayed, press the SET key to indicate that this is the one that will be changed. Use the OK key to move the cursor to the right. Adjust the value of the parameter using the upward and downward key to change digits. Press the SET key to save the changed parameter value. The Monitor will only save parameters that are applicable to the selected tool. Use the RIGHT key or the LEFT key to scroll to the next parameters. The following list is the progression of parameters that can be displayed:

    • Tool name - max 14 characters

    • One way / two way mode

    • Maximum pressure - back direction (percent)

    • Maximum flow - back direction (percent)

    • Maximum pressure - front direction (percent)

    • Maximum flow - front direction (percent)

If the selected tool is a unidirectional tool, the Monitor will not display the parameters for back direction.
