Warning Operation

Usage:

M318C BCZ
The Monitor will activate, display and log events for machine conditions that are not within normal operating parameters. The Monitor will detect some of these events, however, many of these events are detected by the other control modules on the machine. The Monitor receives this event data from the other control modules via the CAN Data Link and will determine what the warning response will be depending on the severity of the problem. The event warnings are classified into three warning levels. The warning level determines what response is required by the operator. Warning level 1 represents the least severe problem and warning level 3 represents the most severe problem. The warning levels, monitor response and the operator action required are given below.

Warning Level 1 - Graphic Display - requires operator awareness

Warning Level 2 - Graphic Display and Action Indicator - requires a change in the operation of the machine or a change in the maintenance of the machine in order to correct the condition

Warning Level 3 - Graphic Display, Action Indicator and Action Alarm - requires immediate shutdown of the machine in order to prevent damage to the machine or personnel

Event codes that are logged by the Monitor will have an event identifier number (EID) that will be displayed in the monitor memory under the menu "Logged Events". Refer to System Operation, "Logged Events Menu" for information on viewing these EID's.

When multiple warnings are present in the system, the highest level warning is shown first. Press the up key or press the down key in order to view all of the warnings that are logged. If no keys are pressed within five seconds, the display will return to the highest level warning. All event code warnings and EID's that can be displayed by the Monitor are listed below according to their warning level. Events with a warning level higher than level 1 will be logged when activated. For a list of event codes that are activated by the machine ECM, refer to System Operation, "Logged Events Menu".

Note: All of the event codes that are listed may not be applicable to all machine models.
