Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before installation, all components and mating surfaces should be thoroughly clean. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Inspect all gaskets and seals. If any gaskets or seals are worn or damaged, use new gaskets or seals for replacement. All installation procedures must be performed in a clean work area.

  1. Install input shaft (6) in the swing drive.

  2. Install Tooling (A) on swing parking brake (1). Attach a suitable lifting device and a hoist to swing parking brake (1).

    Note: The swing parking brake weighs approximately 45 kg (99 lb).

  3. Use the hoist to position swing parking brake (1) on the swing drive.

    Note: Illustration 3 shows the swing motor that is still installed on the swing parking brake.

  4. Use 16 bolts (5) to secure swing parking brake (1) to the swing drive.

  5. Install oil level gauge (4) in swing parking brake (1).

  6. Connect hose (3) that supplies brake retract pressure to swing parking brake (1).

  7. Connect hose (2) that supplies lubrication oil to the swing drive.

End By:

  1. Install the swing motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Motor - Install".
