(1) Surfaces must be clean and free of paint.
(2) During assembly, the O-ring seals and the surfaces of the metal seals that contact the O-ring seals must be clean and dry. Apply a thin coat of oil on the mating surfaces of the metal seals before installation. Make sure that the metal seals are installed squarely in the bore. The O-ring seals must not bulge. Also, the O-ring seals must not be twisted.
(3) Apply a thin coat of SAE 30 CD oil in the bore.
(4) Install the pin so that the gap is properly positioned. Refer to View C-C for the correct orientation.

- Minimum ... 0.25 mm (0.010 inch)
- Maximum ... 1.25 mm (0.050 inch)
(5) Install the stopper in the shaft. The end of the stopper should be even with the end of the chamfer. The stopper can be recessed up to 7 mm (0.3 inch) past the chamfer. Refer to the Dimension "S".
Fill the track roller with 0.240 ± 0.015 L (0.0634 ± 0.0040 US gal) of SAE 30 CD oil.
(6) Install the plug so that the end is even with the stopper. The plug can extend up to 5 mm (0.2 inch) out of the stopper. Refer to Dimension "P".
Install the track rollers so that the stoppers (5) and the plugs (6) are oriented toward the outside of the machine.
