(1) Hydraulic functions. (2) Control valve (straight travel). (3) Pilot logic network. (4) Travel valves.

The purpose of the control valve (straight travel) (2) is to direct oil to the travel valves (4) and to the hydraulic functions (1) .

If both of the travel control levers are moved forward, the pilot logic network (3) has sufficient pressure in order to shift the straight travel valve to the working position. This allows the oil from the piston pumps to supply the bank valve .

If both of the travel control levers and another hydraulic function are activated, pilot pressure builds up in the pilot logic network. Pilot pressure forces the control valve to the straight travel position. The flow from the piston pumps and the gear pump is divided between the travel functions and the hydraulic function. This allows the machine to travel in a straight line while another hydraulic function is being used.

Refer to the Systems Operation, "Bank Valve" for more information on the pilot logic network. Refer to the Systems Operation, "Combined Function Hydraulic Operation" for more information on the straight travel valve.
