Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Remove and Install".
2. Remove the front idler and the hydraulic track adjuster. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Front Idler and Track Adjuster - Remove".

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

1. Place the grease gun on the filler valve and pump grease into the cylinder in order to remove piston (1) .

2. Remove dust seal (2), backup ring (3), and O-ring seal (4) from the adjuster cylinder.

3. Remove filler valve (5) from adjuster cylinder (6) .

4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the right hand side of the track adjuster.
