Fuel Related Components in Cold Weather

燃油箱

未注满的燃油箱可能形成水汽凝结。 在您运行发动机后请加满燃油箱。

燃油箱应该有从底部放掉水和沉渣的设施。 有些油箱使用的供油管其管端在燃油箱中的位置高于水和沉渣的沉积层。

有些燃油箱使用的供油管直接从燃油箱底部取油。 如果发动机配备了这种系统,定期保养燃油系统滤清器相当重要。

在以下情况下从燃油储油箱中放掉水和沉渣:

  • 每周

  • 换机油时

  • 向燃油箱加油时

这样将有助于防止水和沉渣被从储油箱中泵吸进发动机燃油箱中。

燃油滤清器

建议在油箱和细滤器之间安装一个燃油粗滤器和/或油水分离器。 燃油粗滤器的微米等级及粗滤器的位置在冷天作业时很重要。 冷态燃油通常会影响到燃油粗滤器和燃油供油管。 燃油粗滤器最好布置在发动机室内。 在那里燃油粗滤器将受益于发动机的辐射热量。 安装在车架纵梁之外或暴露在寒风中的任何位置的燃油粗滤器可能是寒冷天气情况下的顽症。

燃油加热器

在寒冷天气时,燃油加热器帮助防止燃油滤清器因燃油结蜡而堵塞。 应安装燃油加热器,以便在燃油进入燃油粗滤清器之前加热燃油。

选择一种结构简单同时适用的燃油加热器。 燃油加热器还应帮助防止燃油过热。 燃油温度高会降低发动机性能和发动机的可用功率。 选择加热表面积大的燃油加热器。 燃油加热器的尺寸应切实可行。 小型加热器可能会在其有限的表面周围过热。

温暖天气时断开燃油加热器。

注: 应该在发动机上使用有水温调节器控制的或自动调节的燃油加热器。 不由水温调节器控制的燃油加热器可能把燃油加热到超过 65°C (149°F)。 如果燃油供油温度超过 37 °C (100 °F),可能会出现发动机功率降低。

注: 热交换型燃油加热器应该有旁通设施以便防止温暖天气操作时发生过热现象。
