Illustration 6g03688895

IQAN-Md3 Display (1) is on the right side console in the cab.

The IQAN-MD3 module consists of a display, nine buttons. This module is on the right switch panel in the front of the cab. The IQAN-MD3 allows individual functions of the machine to be displayed. The IQAN-MD3 allows you to adjust several implement functions. The IQAN-MD3 monitors all the input signals and all the output signals.

The IQAN-MD3 allows the operator to obtain different machine information. The monitor is also used for adjusting the hydraulic settings, calibrating machine controls, testing machine components, and troubleshooting machine systems.

Note: Most of the troubleshooting of the IQAN system and machine system can be performed with the use of the IQAN-MD3 module.

The IQAN-MD3 processes incoming CAN Bus signals, the digital on/off signals, and the voltage input signals. Module converts the signals into functions and the module sends the signals to the solenoids and the CAN Bus signals to the other control units.

Right-Hand Joystick (2)

Illustration 7g03667706

Illustration 8g03688897

The right joystick controls the accumulator arms, the lift, and the tilt of the felling head, the float function, and the temporary differential lock. The middle left button on the top of the right joystick closes the accumulator arms. The middle right button on the top of the right joystick opens the accumulator arms.

The middle low button on the joystick activates the float function. the side buttons on the right underside of the joystick control the float intensity. Use the upper button to increase intensity, lower button to decrease intensity.

The lower right button and the top right buttons on the top of the right joystick are the boom float function.

To temporarily engage the front differential lock, hold the toggle switch on the joystick. To disengage the front differential lock, release the toggle switch.

Note: The momentary differential lock switch will only function if the front differential lock switch and the rear differential lock switch are in the OFF position.

Engine Start Switch (3)

OFF - When you insert the engine start switch key and when you remove the engine start switch key, the engine start switch must be in the OFF position. To disconnect the power to the electrical circuits in the cab, turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Also, turn the engine start switch to the OFF position to stop the engine.

ON - To activate the electrical circuits in the cab, turn the engine start switch key clockwise to the ON position.

START - To start the engine, turn the engine start switch clockwise to the START position. When the engine start switch key is released, the engine start switch will return to the ON position.

Note: If the engine fails to start, return the engine start switch to the OFF position. This must be done before you attempt to start the engine again.

The direction of the machine is determined by travel pedals (10) and (11).

When you depress travel pedal (10), the machine will travel in the REVERSE direction.

When you depress travel pedal (11) the machine will travel in the FORWARD direction.

When both of the travel pedals are released, the engine speed will slow.

Depress the center brake pedal to slow or stop the machine.

Brake Control (Parking) (12)

NOTICE

Do not engage the parking brake while the machine is moving unless the service brake fails. The use of the parking brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the parking brake.

Illustration 13g02649240

Parking Brake - Parking brake switch (12) is on the right side console. Use the parking brake only after the machine is stopped.

Depress switch to activate the parking brake. Parking brake switch indicator (12) will be illuminated when the parking brake is engaged.
