Steering cylinders (1) and (2) are connected to the steering knuckle on each side of the machine one end and the machines center on the other.
The metering pump directs pressure oil to each steering cylinder in order for the truck to turn the truck left or right. The cylinder position sensor (3) is inside the right cylinder and only used for autonomous trucks during remote steering.
