The hoist system is supplied with oil by the two-section, fixed displacement gear pump group (2). Gear pump group (2) mounted at the rear of pump drive group (1). Each gear pump section draws oil from the hydraulic oil tank. Each gear pump section can produce a flow rate of 403 L/min (107 US gpm) at high idle.

Oil flows through high-pressure hoses from gear pump group (2) , then through two screen groups (3) before entering control valve group (5).

Bypass switches (4) are installed along screen groups (3) and monitored by the Chassis ECM. Bypass switches (4) are normally open until screen groups (3) become impregnated with debris and oil flow is restricted. Restricted oil flow causing pressure differential across the screens will close bypass switches (4). A pressure differential is 310 kPa (45 psi) will cause the pressure switches to close. Closed bypass switches (4) causing the monitoring system to warn the operator of the clogged on-screen groups (3).
