SUBJECT: Certain 225-6120 Harness Cables (Sync Panel) Used with the Plug and Run Wiring System May Need to be Rewired

PROBLEM:

The sync switch and the slow vessel mode leads are located in the 155-2272 Plug Assembly on the 225-6120 Harness Assembly. If the change level of the 225-6120 Harness Assembly is prior to 02 (225-6120-02), the location of these leads in the 155-2272 Plug Assembly may be incorrect.

SOLUTION:

Illustration 1. Location of the part number label.

Refer to the part number label. This label will be located approximately 150 mm (6 inches) from the connector (see Illustration 1). If the label indicates 225-6120-02 or higher, no action is required. If the label does not indicate a change number (225-6120), perform the following steps.

Illustration 2. 225-6120 Receptacle wiring.

  1. Remove the 18 AWG white wire (Starboard Sync Switch 1) from position "2" in plug 155-2272.
  2. Remove the 18 AWG orange wire (Slow Vessel Mode Switch) from position "3" in plug 155-2272.
  3. Install the white wire (Starboard Sync Switch 1) in position "3" in plug 155-2272.
  4. Install the orange wire (Slow Vessel Mode Switch) in position "2" in plug 155-2272.

When the plug is wired correctly, it will conform to the following table.
