PROBLEM
The existing 467-4243 Spring Clip can have dimensional issues that would allow it to stick on the lifter body during operation. If the lifter clip sticks, valve to piston contact will occur. |
ACTION REQUIRED
The dimensional issues have been resolved and parts in the system are 100% inspected. The inspected parts can be identified by the white paint dot on the top of the clip as displayed in Image 1. Inspect all 467-4243 Spring Clips in dealer part stock for the white paint dot. If a 467-4243 Spring Clip does not have the white paint dot indicating it has been inspected remove the part from dealer parts stock. Refer to the Parts Disposition. If a 467-4243 Spring Clip does have the white paint dot, mark the packaging to indicate that the part has been inspected according to this program and return the part to dealer parts stock. Refer to Image 1 for identification of the white dot described. |
