Description of Change: A new strut group is now used on the machines listed above. The new strut group includes a new sleeveless housing design, and gland to accommodate the new larger U-Cup seal design. The new seal offers increased durability and provides extended service life.

New 297-1481 Housing As (1) replaces the former 106-0818 Housing As in the front suspension group.
New 390-6823 U-Cup Seal (3) replaces the former 329-8979 U-Cup Seal in the front suspension group.
Note: When installing the new U-Cup Seal, ensure that the opening of the U-Cup is facing the pressure cavity of the strut.New 434-4938 Gland (2) replaces the former 9T-0278 Gland in the front suspension group.
New 390-6823 U-Cup Seal is adaptable to machines and effective in production with machines that are listed in Table 2.

To install the new 390-6823 U-Cup Seal (3) in adaptable machines that are listed in Table 2, 9T-0278 Gland /229-9879 Gland must be machined as per dimensions shown in Illustration 2.
The new 434-4938 Gland is not adaptable to the previous strut group numbers.
