Removal Procedure

1. Place the screed on a flat, level surface.

2. If equipped, remove the heating element (end gate). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Heating Element (End Gate) - Remove and Install".

3. Remove five bolts (2), the five nuts, and the ten washers that secure shoe (1) to the end gate.

4. Start the machine.

5. Lift the screed and remove shoe (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install shoe (1) in the reverse order of removal.
