Usage:
6V97 Engine Stand (1) is available for use in the reconditioning procedure and/or the dynamometer test of the above engines. During the assembly of this engine stand, it is important that the upright supports are installed in a specific and correct location. Look at the shape and installation location and position of upright supports (2), (3), (4) and (5). As can be seen in the illustration above, each of the upright supports has a different shape. Assemble your engine stand so the upright supports are in the exact same location and position on sliding crossbar beams (6), as shown above.
1 Use an S1587 Bolt (7) with a 5P8245 Washer and threaded block (8), to fasten each upright support (2), (3), (4) or (5) to a sliding crossbar beam (6), as shown.
2 Put each swing-up support (9) over a shaft (10) [on each upright support (4) and (5)], then install a 4B4283 Washer (11) and 1H1200 Spring Pin (12). A 1A1135 Bolt (13) with a 5P8247 Washer (14) is used to fasten the swing-up supports (9) to upright supports (4) and (5).
The 6V97 Engine Stand can be moved from one location to another with the use of a lift truck or the 1P90 Wheel Dolly.
