Installation Of 9N5595 Or 9N5596 Vent Line Valve Kit{1355} Caterpillar

Installation of a vent line valve kit will keep coolant leakage past the thermostats at a minimum and prevent engine overcooling.

1 Remove four bolts (1). Remove elbow (2) or the connector. Remove the gasket. Remove two water temperature regulators (3).

2 Drill hole (4) in the front housing to a larger diameter of 10.31 (.406") and to a minimum depth of 25.4 (1.00"). Install 8N4485 Valve Assembly (5). Install two 9N5121 Regulators (6).

3 For the 9N5596 Valve Kit, put 9N5429 Gasket (7) in position. Install 8N2598 Elbow (8) with the former bolts. For the 9N5595 Valve Kit, put 9N5429 Gasket (7) in position and install 8N2581 Connector (9) with the former bolts.
