Left Side of Engine

(1) Charge pump

(2) Outlet line

(3) Inlet line

Charge pump (1) is located in the engine compartment, on the left side of the machine. The charge pump supples hydraulic oil to the fan motor. The door on the left side of the machine provides access to this component.

Charge pump (1) is the first section of a two section gear pump group. The steering pump is the second section of this pump. The engine drives the charge pump.

Charge pump (1) and the steering pump share inlet line (3). A suction strainer in the inlet line provides initial filtration for the charge pump and the steering pump.

Flow from charge pump (1) is sent to the fan motor through outlet line (2). After the supply oil flows through the fan motor, the return oil of the motor is sent to the charge filter. After flowing through the charge filter, the oil then becomes charge oil for the vibratory hydraulic system and for the propel system.
