Under Operator Platform on Left Side of Machine (1) Rear vibratory solenoid (2) Front vibratory solenoid (3) Intercircuit relief valve (4) Port "MA" (5) Machine valve (6) Port "MP" (7) Port "MB" |
Machine valve (5) is located on the left side of the machine, under the operator platform. This valve contains vibratory system components.
Front vibratory solenoid (2) and rear vibratory solenoid (1) are located on machine valve (5). The machine ECM number "one" controls these solenoids. When the vibratory system is operating in dual drum mode, neither solenoid is energized. The front vibratory solenoid is energized when the vibratory system is operating in the front drum mode. The rear vibratory solenoid is energized when the vibratory system is operating in the rear drum mode.
Intercircuit relief valve (3) relieves pressure surges that are created when the vibratory mode is changed while the system is operating. The intercircuit relief valve is set at an absolute pressure of 25000 ± 2000 kPa (3630 ± 290 psi).
Each port in machine valve (5) is identified by letters or an alpha numeric designation that is stamped into the housing next to the port. The function of each port is as follows:
- Port "A" - This port is connected to port "A" of the front vibratory motor.
- Port "A1" - This port is connected to port "B" of the vibratory pump.
- Port "AUX" - This port is used in the braking system.
- Port "B" - This port is connected to port "B" of the rear vibratory motor.
- Port "B1" - This port is connected to port "A" of the vibratory pump.
- Port "MA" (4) - This port is a system pressure port. Port "MA" registers high pressure when vibratory solenoid "MA" is energized, and supply oil is directed out port "B" of the vibratory pump.
- Port "MB" (7) - This port is a system pressure port. Port "MB" registers high pressure when vibratory solenoid "MB" is energized, and supply oil is directed out port "A" of the vibratory pump.
- Port "MP" (6) - Intercircuit pressure can be measured at the tap in port "MP".
- Port "P" - This port is connected to port "B" of the front vibratory motor and to port "A" of the rear vibratory motor.
- Port "PILOT" - This port is plugged.
- Port "OUT" - This port is used in the braking system.
- Port "T1" - This port sends flushing flow to port "L1" on each vibratory motor.
- Port "T2" - This port directs return oil from the machine valve to the hydraulic tank.
Machine valve (5) contains an integral flushing valve. The flushing valve consists of the flushing spool and the flushing relief valve. These items work together. The flushing spool directs oil from the low-pressure side of the hydrostatic loop to the flushing relief valve. The flushing relief valve directs oil from the low-pressure side of the loop out port "T1" of the machine valve.
