New Fuel Inlet Fitting Eliminates Breakage; New Screen Used In Inlet Fitting{1250,1252,1261}

1.1 Liter Family Of Engines

Description of Change: A new fuel inlet fitting is used in the fuel filter lines groups. This inlet eliminates the use of the former cast aluminum inlet housing which could break when serviced. A new fuel inlet screen replaces the former inlet screen.

Adaptable To: The part numbers of the improved 7W9854 (3114) and 7C9651 (3116) Fuel Filter Lines Groups have not changed. The new 7E0156 Inlet Fitting (1) replaces the former 7C5866 Fuel Housing (3), 9S8005 Plug (4), 3K0360 Seal (5), 7C5865 Elbow (6), two 8T0640 Bolts (7) and 2J6274 Seal (8). The new 7E0155 Screen Assembly (2) replaces the former 7C5867 Screen Assembly (9). The new fitting and screen are effective with 3114 (5EF643, 6AF565, 5JG719, 2FG133) and 3116 (2WG810, 4PG583, 2SG902, 4KG107, 1NJ955, 7SF1) Engines. The new fitting and screen are adaptable to earlier engines when used together.

A 3J1907 Seal (10), 8T0788 Elbow (11), 6V8397 Seal (12) and 8T6663 Fitting (13) may be necessary to provide correct orientation for connecting the inlet fuel line to the inlet fitting.
