Piston Pump (Propel, Vibratory) - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure

Start By:
- Remove fuel tank.
- Remove radiator, aftercooler, and hydraulic oil cooler.
- Drain the hydraulic oil from the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manualfor the correct procedure for the correct draining and filling procedures.
- Disconnect harness assembly (1) .

- Disconnect hose assemblies (2) .

- Disconnect hoses (3) and harness assembly (4) .

- Remove bolts (5) .

- Attach suitable lifting device to engine assembly (6). Install Tooling (A) and place engine assembly on Tooling (B) .

- Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to pump assembly (7). The weight of pump assembly (7) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb).

- Remove bolts (8) and pump assembly (7) .

- Remove bolt (10) and hub (9) .

- Remove bolts (14) and manifold assembly (15) .
- Remove bolts (12) and separate plate assembly (11) and piston pump (13) .
Installation Procedure
- Install piston pump (13) to plate assembly (11) .

- Install bolts (12) .
- Install manifold assembly (15) and bolts (14) .
- Install hub (9) and bolt (10). Dimension (X) is the gap between hub (9) and plate assembly (11). Ensure Dimension (X) is 21.8 ± 1.0 mm (0.86 ± 0.04 inch). Tighten bolt (10) to a torque of 86 ± 10 N·m (63 ± 7 lb ft).
- Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to pump assembly (7). The weight of pump assembly (7) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb). Install pump assembly (7) and bolts (8) .

- Attach suitable lifting device to engine assembly (6). Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) .

- Connect hoses (3) and harness assembly (4) .

- Fill the hydraulic tank with hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manualfor the correct procedure for the correct draining and filling procedures.
End By:
- Install radiator, aftercooler, and hydraulic oil cooler.
- Install fuel tank.
