Automatic Lubrication System - Test

Usage:

972M A8P
In order to test the lubrication system, three different test cycles can be performed through the Twin-3 PC Gina software.

  • The single test cycle, which cycles through primary grease line (A) or primary grease line (B).

  • The Multi test cycle, which cycles through successive greasing cycles through primary grease line (A) or primary grease line (B).

  • The Fast automatic cycle, initiates a fast automatic cycle.

Note: Errors that occur during a cycle test will show in the pending error field but will not be stored by the control unit. A successful performed cycle test will reset the pending errors and variable counters.

Single Test Cycle

In order to perform a single test cycle, perform the following procedure using the 345-1783 Automatic Lubrication Kit.

  1. Connect the PC Gina Software with the pump unit.

  2. Turn on the engine start switch.

  3. Navigate to the "Diagnosis" Tab within the software provided in the Automatic Lubrication Kit. Under "Program mode select" select "Single test (F3)".

The single test cycle only tests one of the primary grease lines. The following test cycle will automatically take place for the other primary grease line.

Multi Test Cycle

Note: During the continuous test cycle, extra grease can be quickly added to the lubrication points. The lubrication system can also be bled during the continuous test cycle.

Note: In extreme weather conditions, possibility exists that the lubrication system fails to perform the continuous test cycle correctly. In such a case, use the single test cycle.

In order to perform a continuous test cycle, perform the following procedure.

  1. Connect the PC Gina Software with the pump unit.

  2. Turn on the engine start switch.

  3. Navigate to the "Diagnosis" Tab within the software provided in the Automatic Lubrication Kit. Under "Program mode select" select "Multi test (F4)".

The system will begin to pump. The pressure in one primary grease line will increase while the pressure in the other grease line will decrease.

To stop the multiple cycle test, select "Auto (F1)" or "Manual (F2)".

Auto Fast Cycle

In order to perform an Auto Fast test cycle, perform the following procedure using the 345-1783 Automatic Lubrication Kit.

  1. Connect the PC Gina Software with the pump unit.

  2. Turn on the engine start switch.

  3. Navigate to the "Diagnosis" Tab within the software provided in the Automatic Lubrication Kit. Under "Program mode select" select "Auto Fast (F5)".

The fast automatic cycle can be paused by selecting "Manual (F2)" mode or by switching "OFF" the start switch. The "Auto Fast" cycle will pick up where paused by switching the start switch "ON" again.

The fast automatic cycle can be stopped completely by selecting "Auto (F1)", "Single Test (F3)", or "Multiple test (F4)" with the PC Gina software.
