- Remove the access cover that is located underneath the machine.
Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General Hazard Information" for information that pertains to Containing Fluid Spillage.
Show/hide tableIllustration 3 g01069234 (1) Drain hose. - Remove drain hose (1) from the upper frame. Remove the cap from the drain valve on the end of drain hose (1). Face the end of the hose toward the container.
- Open the hood. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hood Tilting" for the procedure.

(2) Drain valve. - Open drain valve (2). Open the drain valve on the end of drain hose (1) in order to drain oil. Drain the oil into a suitable container.
Note: Drained fluids should always be disposed of according to local regulations.
- Tighten drain valve (2). Close the drain valve on the end of drain hose (1). Replace the cap on the drain valve. Hook the drain hose (1) to the holder . Make sure that the end of the hose is facing upward.

- Add the specified quantity of oil through the dipstick tube. See Operation and Maintenance, "Capacities (Refill)".

Illustration 6 g00418728 - Maintain the oil level between the tip of the dipstick and the mark on the dipstick (3).
- Check the oil that has been drained for metal chips or metal particles. Consult your authorized dealer if any metal chips or metal particles are found.
- Drained materials should always be disposed of according to local regulations.
