Improved Clips for the Fumes Disposal Group are Available on Certain 777F Off-Highway Trucks {1317}

Description of Change: The single clip has been replaced with a two piece clip and grommet. The new clips reduce fatigue of the clip material due to loading and vibration.

Adaptable To: The new 5P-7470 Clip, new 5P-7471 Clip and 5P-7703 Grommet replaces the former 6V-2235 Clip of the 298-6587 Fumes Disposal Group.

The new 372-7311 Bracket Assembly, new 372-7312 Bracket Assembly, and new 7C-6921 Spacer replace the former 298-6590 Bracket Assembly, 298-6591 Bracket Assembly, and 5N-7917 Spacer of the 298-6587 Fumes Disposal Group .

The new clips are adaptable to machines JRP543-2935, JXP1-205, WTK106-117.

The new clips are effective in production with machines JRP2936-UP, JXP206-UP and WTK118-UP.

Use the following procedure in order to install the new clips and bracket assemblies.

Install bracket assembly (2) using two hard washers (4) and two bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 47 ± 9 N·m (35 ± 7 lb ft).

Install grommet (7), clip (5) clip (6) and secure onto bracket assembly (2) with hard washer (10) and bolt (11). Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).

Install bracket assembly (1) using two spacers (8), two hard washers (4) and two bolts (9) onto the 191-9307 Elbow. The elbow is part of the 252-9107 Transmission Oil Cooler Gp .

Install grommet (7), clip (5), clip (6) and secure onto bracket assembly (1) with hard washer (10) and bolt (11). Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft).
