Improved Procedure for Draining the Pressurized Water Spray System on Certain Pneumatic Compactors {5612}

Description of Change: The new procedure allows the complete system to drain properly.
Adaptable To: The new procedure is adaptable to the following Pneumatic Compactors.

Drain the water spray system completely when freezing conditions exist. This is done in order to avoid damage to the water spray system. |
- Remove filler cap (1) .

- Remove drain plug (2) from the water tank.

The drain plug, the water filter, and the drain valve are located under the water tank on the front side of the machine. A hole in the bottom of the machine frame provides access to the motor and the pump group. | |
- Open drain valve (4) that is located near the water pump. Leave drain valve (4) in the open position.
- Remove water filter bowl (3) and allow the system to drain.
- When the tank is empty, turn on the water pump for 30 seconds in order to drain the water pump.
- Install water filter bowl (3) .
- Close valve (4) .
- Install the drain plug (2) .
- Install filler cap (1) .
