Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The metal mounting disc for the beacon may become de-bonded from the cab roof.

On some machines, the adhesive is not holding the disk. The adhesive is staying on the roof. The disc remains clean.

Required Parts

Solution

If a steel plate comes off, reattach the steel plate using three equally spaced 4S-8287 Pop Rivets .

Approximate location to drill holes for the rivets

1. Use a 3.3 mm (0.13 inch) drill for the pilot hole. Refer to Illustration 1.

   Note: The steel roof of the cab is 19 mm (0.75 inch) from the top if the plastic. Set the drill depth to 10 mm (0.39 inch). This depth will prohibit contact the steel cab roof.
