ReferenceSpecial Instruction, REHS4240, "Procedure to Change Hydraulic Oil to an Arctic Oil Viscosity".
When switching to the lower viscosity brake control system oil on cold-weather conditions, purge the high viscosity oil from the brake lines.
Refer to Special Instruction, REHS4240, "Procedure to Change Hydraulic Oil to an Arctic Oil Viscosity" for the procedure to purge the high viscosity oil from brake system.
The special instruction is available through the normal literature distribution system. The publication can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).
