Start By:

  1. Remove the refrigerant condenser. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Refrigerant Condenser - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Cleaner - Remove and Install".
  3. Remove the muffler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Remove and Install".
  4. Remove the radiator, the hydraulic oil cooler, and the fuel cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator, Hydraulic Oil Cooler, and Fuel Cooler - Remove and Install".

  1. Loosen the clamps and disconnect hoses (1) .

  1. Remove clamp (2) .

  1. Disconnect hose (3) and hose assembly (4) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (6) .

  1. Remove the bolts and fuel filter assembly (5) .

  1. Disconnect hose assembly (7) from the fuel tank.

  1. Remove clamps (8) and move the hoses out of the way.

  1. Remove clamps (12) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (10) from fuel filter assembly (9) .

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (11) .

  1. Tilt the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Tilt".

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) to support (13). Remove bolts (14) and support (13). The weight of support (13) is approximately 61 kg (135 lb).

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (15) from the engine and move harness assembly (15) out of the way.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (16) from the engine and move harness assembly (16) out of the way.

  1. Remove clamp (17) and move hoses (1) out of the way.

  1. Remove belt (18) from the engine.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (20) and harness assembly (21) .

  1. Remove the bolts and move refrigerant compressor (19) out of the way.

  1. Disconnect harness assemblies (22) from the alternator.

  1. Remove clamp (23) and move harness assemblies (22) out of the way.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (24) .

  1. Remove the bolts and bracket (25) .

  1. Disconnect ground strap (27) from the engine.

  1. Disconnect cable assemblies (28) from electric starting motor (26) .

  1. Remove clamp (29) and move the harness assembly and the cable assembly out of the way.

  1. Use Tooling (B) and remove oil filter (30). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

  1. Remove bolt (31) from both sides of the engine.

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to engine (32). Remove bolts (33). Remove engine (32) from the machine. The weight of engine (32) is approximately 499 kg (1100 lb).
