This Special Instruction contains the information that is needed in order to install the following kits:

• 319-2161 Control Valve and Lines Gp (KIT, AUXILIARY, 8TH FUNCTION)

• 319-2162 Control Valve and Lines Gp (KIT, POWER SIDESHIFT FUNCTION)

• 319-2163 Control Valve and Lines Gp (KIT, POWER SDSHFT, 8TH FCTN)

• 319-2164 Control Valve and Lines Gp (KIT, AUXILIARY, 9TH FUNCTION)

• 320-6000 Sideshift Ar (KIT, STANDARD FRAME)

Multiple kits are available in order to provide you with the desired functionality for your machine. Since many of the parts are common between the kits, selection of the proper kit will enable you to obtain the desired functions without receiving duplicate parts that are not needed. See Table 1.

Read the information and understand the information that is contained in this Special Instruction before you begin installation of the kits.

   4. Weld bracket (82) to the stabilizer by applying a 5 mm (0.20 inch) fillet weld. See Illustration 7.

      Note: Be sure to clean up the weld and the surrounding surface area. After work is complete, apply paint to the area.

3. Release the pressure from the sideshift locks. To release the locks, turn the ignition key to the Run position. Do not start the engine. Then, engage the switch for the sideshift lock. This will release the sideshift lock. Turn off the ignition.

   Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Sideshift Operation".

4. Lift the slide frame and support the slide frame. Be sure to use the proper jack and stands. Blocking the machine is also sufficient.

   Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Sliding Frame and Bearing - Remove".

5. Remove six bolts and six hard washers in order to remove existing blocks (203) and existing bars (204). Discard the six bolts, the six washers, the two blocks, and the two bars. See Illustration 9.

6. Assemble pads (80) to blocks (76). Secure each pad to blocks (76) with two bolts (69) and two washers (68). See Illustration 10.

   Assemble pads (80) to bars (77). Secure each pad to bars (77) with two bolts (70) and two washers (68) .

   Tighten the bolts (69) to 30 ± 7 N·m (22.13 ± 5.16 lb ft).

   Note: Use 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound on the threads before you install the bolts.

   Note: Be sure that blocks (76) are oriented, as shown.

7. On the left side of the swing frame, install mount assembly (75), block (76), and bar (77) with bolt (74) and washer (71). Then, install two bolts (72) and two washers (67). See Illustration 11.

   Be sure that the mount assembly is parallel with the slide frame.

   On the right side of the swing frame, install block (76) and bar (77) with bolt (83) and washer (71). Then, install two bolts (73) and two washers (67) .

   Note: Only hand tighten the bolts at this point.

8. Lower the slide frame with the jack so that the slide frame is supported on slide rail (205). Make sure that blocks (76) are hooked behind slide rail (205). See Illustration 12.

9. Tighten bolts (72), bolts (73), bolt (74) and bolt (83) to standard torque. Refer to Illustration 11.

10. Install the two front pads (93) and the two bottom pads (93) to link (96). Use two bolts (88) and two hard washers (89) to secure each pad. See Illustration 13.

    Note: Use 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound on the threads before you install the bolts.

    Tighten the bolts to 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft).

11. Insert bar (94) into link (96). See Illustration 14.

    Note: Be sure that bar (94) is oriented so that the mounting bolt holes in the two ends will line up with the holes in the brackets on the frame.

    Install the two rear pads (93) and the two top pads (93). Use two bolts (88) and two hard washers (89) to secure each pad.

    Note: Use 4C-4030 Thread Lock Compound on the threads before you install the bolts.

    Tighten the bolts to 15 ± 3 N·m (11 ± 2 lb ft).

13. Install the head end of cylinder (65) to bracket (78). Insert pin (64) in order to connect the head end of cylinder (65) to bracket (78). Secure the pin with bolt (60) and locknut (59). See Illustration 16.

14. Install the rod end of the cylinder (65) to link (96). Insert pin (63) in order to connect the rod end of cylinder (65) to the link. Secure the pin with bolt (60) and locknut (59) .

15. Position the head end of cylinder (66) on the pin of mount assembly (75). Install washer (61) and retaining ring (58) in order to secure the head end of the cylinder to the mount assembly. See Illustration 17.

16. Install the rod end of the cylinder (66) to the remaining mount of link (96). Insert pin (63) in order to connect the rod end of the cylinder to the link. Secure the pin with bolt (60) and locknut (59) .

17. Install a guard on the back of the cab. Use Table 5 to determine the guard that is specified for use for your machine.

    Use block (18) and hose clamp (17) in order to secure hose (45) to side shift cylinder (65). See Illustration 33.

9. Install two hoses (57) and one hose (36) between bank valve (51) and the existing 293-8701 Bank Valve Gp . See Illustration 46.
   • At Port (T) on the 293-8701 Bank Valve Gp , remove the plug and install a connector (25) into the port. Then, connect hose (57) from Port (T) on bank valve (51) to connector (25). See Illustration 47.

   • At Port (P) on the 293-8701 Bank Valve Gp , remove the plug and install a connector (25) into the port. Then, connect hose (57) from Port (P) on bank valve (51) to connector (25). See Illustration 47.

   • At Port (LS) on the 293-8701 Bank Valve Gp , connect hose (36) from Port (LS) on bank valve (51). If an additional port is needed, install a tee (33) in tandem with the existing tee in order to provide a connection for hose (36). See Illustration 47.

• "Hoe Auxiliary Valve #2 Port A Solenoid Minimum Current" - This adjusts the minimum flow from the circuit on Port A. The setting will affect the feel of the thumb wheel control for Port A. The recommended setting is 0.6 mA. Higher settings will give a harsher start of the work tool.

• "Hoe Auxiliary Valve #2 Port A Solenoid Maximum Current" - This adjusts the maximum flow from the circuit on Port A. This adjustment is factory set at 1.8 mA for maximum flow. This setting can be adjusted with the aid of a flow meter for the required flow for the work tool that is used. Lower settings will yield lower flow.

• "Hoe Auxiliary Valve #2 Port B Solenoid Minimum Current" - This adjusts the minimum flow from the circuit on Port B. This will adjust the feel of the thumb wheel control for Port B. The recommended setting is 0.6 mA. Higher settings will give a harsher start of the work tool.
