Operations Area Re-Entry
Remote controlled machines operate in this area. Personal injury or death could result from entry to this area. Do not enter this area when the Area Isolation System red warning light is flashing. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for operations area access instructions. |
Attach a "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag to isolation switches or to controls before the system is serviced or before the system is repaired.

Do not allow unauthorized personnel on the system or around the system when the system is being serviced.
Maintenance may be required in the operations area or on the machine during operation which will require re-entry into the operations area. Follow the procedure.
- Move the machine to the designated parking area.
- Lower the worktool to the ground.
- Stop the engine.
- Determine the location and status of any machine in the operations area.
- Gain entry authorization from Site Control before entering the operations area.
- Depress BCP shutdown switch (4) at BCP (1) . AIS strobe light (3) will stop flashing.

- Move BCP isolation switch (2) counterclockwise to the OFF position and place personal lockout and "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag on isolation switch (2) .
Note: Personnel entering the operations area must place a personal lockout and "Do Not Operate" warning tag or a similar warning tag on isolation switch (2) .
- Remove all automation warning signs.
- Open the personnel barrier gate (if equipped).
- Disconnect the lanyard and hang on the wall for storage before switching the machine to manual.
- Notify Site Control that the operations area is being deactivated.

If the red autonomous control warning light on the machine is flashing the machine may start and move without warning and may result in personal injury or death. Stay clear of the machine and exit the machine operations area immediately. |
- Approach the machine with caution. Only amber MAS warning light (5) will be flashing.
- Depress autonomous control enable switch (7) . Amber MAS warning light (5) will stop flashing.

- Access the machine operator station and move autonomous control switch (9) to the OFF position. Move remote control switch (8) to the OFF position. The machine is now in manual mode.

- Perform a machine pre-start check before operation.

- Move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position and remove the key when servicing the electrical system or any other machine components.

- Notify site control personnel and confirm the status of the machine, MAS and AIS.
- Perform maintenance as required.
- Enable the machine for autonomous control.
