Introduction
A new proportional valve and improved software have been released in order to prevent the steering for the rear tracks from hunting.
Procedure to Install the Proportional Valve
- Park the machine on a flat, level surface.
- Shut off the engine.
- Lift both seats. Open cover (1) .

- Locate 255-6596 Solenoid Valve (2) which controls the rear steering. Valve (2) is the first solenoid valve from the left.

- Replace 255-6596 Solenoid Valve (2) with 332-1384 Solenoid Valve Gp (3) .
Note: There is an orifice in the "P" port of the old 255-6596 Solenoid Valve . Do not install this orifice in the new 332-1384 Solenoid Valve .

- Close cover (1) .

Flashing the Software
- Open panel (1) on the operator station.

- Connect 300-7925 Communication Cable (4) to 300-7924 Communication Cable (2) .

- Connect the other end of communication cable (2) to the USB port on a portable laptop computer.
- Confirm that the green power light on communication cable (2) is on. The green light should not be blinking. If the green power light is blinking try another USB port.
- Connect the 3-pin Deutsche connector of communication cable (4) to connector (3) of the "CAN Port" plug. The "CAN Port" plug is located at the ECM harness for the machine.
- Start the portable laptop computer.
Note: The "70019006_S0200_P0100_PM200" is a ZIP file that contains four software files. Copy each of the four files to the desktop of the computer.
- Turn ignition key (5) to the ON position. Do not start the engine.

- Open the PLUS 1 Service Tool software on the computer.
- Click "Yes" button (6) in order to scan the system.

- The "Open file for download" window will appear.
- Locate file "70019006_S0200_P0100_CAT_PM200_MC24 lhx" (12) on the desktop of the computer.

Procedure to Change the Parameters
- Start the PLUS 1 Service Tool software on the computer.
- If necessary, open "Diagnostic Navigator" menu (2) .
- Click on the "View" button and select "Diagonostic Navigator" from the list.
- Click on "File" (1) and click on the "Open" button.

- Click "Download" button (8) in order to fix the value in "Verify value:" column (9) .

- Disconnect the computer from the machine.
Note: Wait at least 10 seconds before starting the machine.
Procedure to Calibrate the Front and Rear Steering Sensor
- Locate the web site "https://apps.forestpro.com/Cat_Apps/paving/index.cfm" on the computer and download the pdf file of PM-200 Testing and Adjusting, QENR2017.
- Calibrate the front steering sensor and the rear steering sensor. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, QENR2017, "Electronic Control" for the correct procedure.
