Piston Pump (Hydraulic Fan and Steering)

The steering piston pump is a compound pump with two nearly identical rotating groups. The input end of the pump motor is the steering pump (1) and the other end is the fan drive pump (3) . Each section has a separate pressure and flow compensator valve (2) . The pressure and flow compensator valve (2) controls the pump output. The steering pump sends oil to the solenoid valve and manifold group on the right frame rail. Both pump sections use a common oil supply tube (4) from the hydraulic tank for the steering section of the hydraulic tank. The steering tank is a part of the hydraulic tank for the brake, hoist, and steering.
