该诊断代码旨在说明，5 号气缸电子单体喷射器的电磁阀或配线 发生短路（电流过大）。
电子控制模块（ECM）可检测以下状况：
- 五个连续的操作尝试都出现电流过大的情况（短路）
- 蓄电池电压持续 2 秒高于 9 VDC。
系统响应:
控制面板显示屏会出现一条警告。 ECM 将会记录此诊断代码。
发动机将会出现功率较低和 / 或运行不稳的情况。
执行喷射器切断测试时，与其他电子单体喷射器相比，发生故障的电子单体喷射器将出现读数较低的情况。
电气故障可能妨碍电子单体喷射器正常工作。 如果一个电子单体喷射器唯一对应的配线或 ECM 出现短路，则会妨碍单个电子单体喷射器工作。 ECM 的公共配线短路可能导致共用该配线的三个电子单体喷射器不能工作。
记录诊断代码后，ECM 将继续尝试操作电子单体喷射器，但是短路故障会妨碍电子单体喷射器的工作。
