Hydraulic Oil Tank (Rotor Clutch) - Remove and Install

Usage:

PM-201 PNM

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine enclosure (hood), if necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enlcosure (Hood) - Remove and Install".
  2. Remove the rotor drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rotor) - Remove and Install".
  3. Remove the auxiliary pump, if necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Auxiliary) - Remove".
  4. Remove the propel pump, if necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Propel) - Remove".

  1. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) .

  1. Remove bolts (3) and cover (4) .

  1. Drain the oil from oil tank (6) into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

  1. Disconnect harness assemblies (5) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (7) .

  1. Disconnect hose assembly (8) from oil tank (6) .

  1. Remove the bolts, filler tube assembly (9), and gasket (10) .

  1. Remove bolts (12) and remove tube assembly (11) from oil tank (6) .

  1. Loosen clamp (14) from hose (13) .

  1. Attach lifting straps and a suitable lifting device to oil tank (6). Remove bolts (15) and lower oil tank (6). The weight of oil tank (6) is approximately 122 kg (270 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Attach lifting straps and a suitable lifting device to oil tank (6). Raise oil tank (6) and install bolts (15). The weight of oil tank (6) is approximately 122 kg (270 lb).

  1. Tighten clamp (14) to hose (13) .

  1. Install tube assembly (11) to oil tank (6) and install bolts (12) .

  1. Install gasket (10), filler tube assembly (9), and the bolts.

  1. Connect hose assembly (8) to oil tank (6) .

  1. Connect hose assemblies (7) .

  1. Connect harness assemblies (5) .

  1. Fill the oil tank with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

  1. Install cover (4) and bolts (3) .

  1. Install cover (2) and bolts (1) .

End By:

  1. Install the propel pump, if necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Propel) - Install".
  2. Install the auxiliary pump, if necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Auxiliary) - Install".
  3. Install the rotor drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rotor) - Remove and Install".
  4. Install the engine enclosure (hood), if necessary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enlcosure (Hood) - Remove and Install".
