(3) Before you assemble the cover, apply 8T-9022 Silicone Gasket to the bolt holes. Then, apply a continuous bead of the silicone gasket maker that is 3.0 ± 1.0 mm (0.12 ± 0.04 inch) in width between the bolt holes. Before you apply the sealant in order to assemble the covers, the exterior of the chain drive housing and the covers must be clean and free of oil. Assemble the cover within three minutes of the application of the sealant.
(4) Before assembly, apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads. Torque for the two magnetic plugs ... 75 N·m (55 lb ft)
(5) Torque for the 14 bolts ... 270 ± 40 N·m (200 ± 30 lb ft)
