(1) Torque for nut ... 17 ± 3 N·m (13 ± 2 lb ft)

Vibratory Sensor

Note: The following is a procedure for installing the vibratory sensor.

1. Screw the vibratory sensor (2) until the sensor touches the tips of the teeth on the shaft.

2. Unscrew approximately one turn.

3. Gap between the vibratory sensor (2) and the shaft 1.5 ± 0.5 mm (0.06 ± 0.02 inch)

4. Tighten the nut in order to secure the sensor.

5. Install the boot on the harness before connecting wires to the magnetic sensor.

Speed Sensor

Note: The following is a procedure for installing the speed sensor.

1. Run the machine without the speed sensor (3) until one of the four corners of the square nut faces the hole for the sensor.

2. Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads of the speed sensor (3) .

3. Screw the speed sensor (3) until the sensor touches the square nut.

4. Unscrew approximately one turn.

5. Gap between the speed sensor (3) and the shaft 1.5 ± 0.5 mm (0.06 ± 0.02 inch)

6. The nut that secures the speed sensor (3) should be torqued to 16 ± 1 N·m (140 ± 10 lb in).
