Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the steering column. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Column - Remove".

1. Remove bolts (2) and position sensor (1).

2. Remove bolts (3), tubes (3), and plate (5).

3. Remove roll pin (6).

   Show/hide table

   Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force. Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment. Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

4. Loosen set screws (8) and remove torque arm (7).

5. Remove woodruff key (12).

6. Remove snap ring (11), spring (10), and spacer (9).

7. Remove roll pin (13) and shaft (14).
   Show/hide table

8. Remove bolts (16) and remove mounting block assembly (17) from plate (15).

9. Remove O-ring seal (18) from position sensor (1).
