Description of Change: An update has been made to the exhaust pipe group. The front and rear plates that connect the manifolds have been removed. This update will allow the manifolds to move independently from each other in order to reduce vibration.

Adaptable To: The two 292-0898 Plates which are a part of the 240-4782 Exhaust Pipe Gp became effective in production with machines FDB215-295. The 279-1289 Plate and the 279-1290 Plate which are a part of the 240-4782 Exhaust Pipe Gp became effective in production with machines FDB1-214. The removal of the plates are adaptable back to the beginning of production on these machines. The removal of the plates became effective with machines FDB296-UP. Please use the following procedure for removal of the plates.

Procedure to Remove the 292-0898 Plates

1. Remove four 8T-4137 Bolts (1) and remove four 8T-4121 Hard Washers (2) in order to remove two 292-0898 Plates (3) .

Procedure to Remove the 279-1289 Plate and the 279-1290 Plate

1. Remove two 8T-4137 Bolts (1), two 8T-4121 Hard Washers (2), two 8T-8917 Bolts (3), and two 5P-1076 Hard Washers (4) in order to remove 279-1289 Plate (5) .
