Installation Procedure

Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation. Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.

1. Follow Steps 1.a through 1.d to install the rear striker bar to the machine.

   1. Use Tooling (B) to position rear striker bar (8) to the machine. The weight of rear striker bar (8) is approximately 197 kg (435 lb).

   2. Install bolt (9) and bolts (7).

   3. Repeat Step 1.b for the opposite side of rear striker bar (8).

   4. Use two people to position crankcase guard (6) to the machine. The weight of crankcase guard (6) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb). Install bolts (5).

2. Follow Steps 2.a through 2.c to install the middle striker bars to the machine.

   1. Use Tooling (B) and suitable cribbing to position middle striker bar (3) to the machine.

   2. Install bolts (4).

   3. Repeat Step 2.a and Step 2.b for the opposite side of the machine.

3. Follow Steps 3.a through 3.c to install the front striker bar to the machine.

   1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to each end of front striker bar (1). The weight of front striker bar (1) is approximately 238 kg (525 lb). Position front striker bar (1) to the machine.

   2. Install bolts (2).

   3. Repeat Step 3.b for the opposite side of the machine.

End By:

1. Install the front guard.

2. Separate the steering frame lock.
