Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock.

2. Remove the front guard when you are removing the front striker bar.

Personal injury or death can occur from heavy components falling during removal or installation. Properly support the component with a suitable lifting device during removal or installation.

1. Follow Steps 1.a through 1.d to remove the front striker bar from the machine.

   1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to each end of front striker bar (1). The weight of front striker bar (1) is approximately 238 kg (525 lb).

   2. Remove bolts (2).

   3. Repeat Step 1.b for the opposite side of the machine.

   4. Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting devices to remove front striker bar (1) from the machine.

2. Follow Steps 2.a through 2.d to remove the middle striker bars from the machine.

   1. Position Tooling (B) and suitable cribbing under middle striker bar (3). The weight of middle striker bar (3) is approximately 61 kg (135 lb).

   2. Remove bolts (4).

   3. Use Tooling (B) and the suitable cribbing to remove middle striker bar (3) from the machine.

   4. Repeat Steps 2.a through 2.c for the opposite side of the machine.

3. Follow Steps 3.a through 3.e to remove the rear striker bar from the machine.

   1. Remove bolts (5). Use two people to remove crankcase guard (6) from the machine. The weight of crankcase guard (6) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).

   2. Position Tooling (B) under rear striker bar (8). The weight of rear striker bar (8) is approximately 197 kg (435 lb).

   3. Remove bolts (7) and bolt (9).

   4. Repeat Step 3.b for the other side of rear striker bar (8).

   5. Use Tooling (B) to remove rear striker bar (8) from the machine.
