Service Magazine, SEPD0154, 17 May 1993, "Speedometer Accuracy Improved". Disregard this article. Refer to the following article.

Description of Change: The accuracy of the speedometer has been improved by using two plugs in the transfer gear. The plugs act as pickup points for the sensor. Formerly, two holes in the transfer gear were used as pickup points for the sensor.

Adaptable To: The 2U-6795 Plugs are effective with D40D (S/N: 2JJ88-UP), D400D (S/N: 8TF408-UP; 4EJ21-UP), D350E (S/N: 9LR1-UP) and D400E (S/N: 2YR1-UP) Articulated Trucks. The accuracy of the sensor of the earlier D40D, D400D and D400 Articulated Trucks can be improved by installing the plugs. Refer to "Installation of 2U-6795 Plugs ".

When you service the sensor, refer to "Adjusting and Installing the Sensor".
