This Special Instruction will provide the necessary information in order to install a variable frequency controller. The new controller will reduce the possibility of controller problems that cause unnecessary downtime. A change has been made to this Special Instruction that includes an electrical schematic of the variable frequency controller.

This Special Instruction is available through the normal literature distribution system. The publication can also be found on the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).
