  1. Apply Tooling (A) to axle (24) .

  1. Lower the temperature of bearings (23). Install the upper and lower bearing (23) in axle (24) .

  1. Attach a suitable lifting device to housing (13) and planetary (19). Install the shims, axle pin (17), and bolts (15). Install the axle pin and the bolts in the bottom of housing (13). Place Tooling (B) on the axle, as shown. Use a suitable pry bar and move housing (13) up and down. Add or subtract the shims in order to achieve a 2.29 ± 0.76 mm (0.090 ± 0.030 inch) distance between the axle and housing (13). The weight of planetary (19), housing (13) and the piston motor is approximately 390 kg (859 lb).

  1. Remove two bolts (15). Install bracket (16) and bolts (15) .

  1. Connect hose assemblies (18) to the piston motor.

  1. Install steering link group (14) in housing (13). Install nut (12) and cotter pin (11) on steering link group (14) .

  1. Reposition hydraulic cylinder (10). Install pin assembly (9) and bolt (8) .

  1. Connect hose assembly (7) .

  1. Install bracket (6) and bolts (5) .

  1. Connect harness assembly (4) .

  1. Connect hose assembly (3) .

  1. Install cover (1) and bolts (2) .

  1. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

End By: Install the tire and rim (front). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim (Front) - Remove and Install".
