Description of Change: An improved track seal is now used for D8T, D8R, D8N, D8L and 583 and 578 Pipelayers. The shape of the seal components has been changed. The improved seal resists the entry of dirt and particles of sand. This feature reduces the effects of abrasive elements on the seal components. This improvement will give the seal longer life in all applications.
Adaptable To: The effective machine serial numbers are: for D8T No Positive Pin Retention (NON-PPR) is KPZ684-UP, and Positive Pin Retention (PPR) is KPZ705-UP. For machines that are built in Brazil the effective serial numbers are: for D8T is J8B448-UP and D8R is 9EM2509-UP. The effective track serial numbers for track supplied to the parts system is: for NON-PPR is PF153H20, and for PPR is PF157J01.
