Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the steering control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Valve (Wheel Steering) - Remove".

1. Remove four bolts (2) and cover (1) from the steering control valve.

2. Remove plug (6), shims (5), spring (4), and check valve (3) from the cover.

3. Remove the O-ring seal from plug (6) .

4. Remove seat (9) and O-ring seals (7) and (8) from the cover.

5. Remove O-ring seal (10) from seat (9) .

6. Remove spool assembly (11) from the steering control valve.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force. Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment. Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

7. Remove bolt (15), the washer, retainer (18), spring (14), spacer (17), retainer (13), and shims (16) from spool (12) .

8. Remove springs (19) from the steering control valve.

9. Remove valve spool (21) from the steering control valve.

10. Remove shims (20) from valve spool (21) .

11. Remove plug (24), seat (23), ball (25), and seat (22) from the steering control valve.

12. Remove the O-ring seals from plug (24), seat (23), and seat (22) .

14. Remove the O-ring seal from plug assembly (26) .
