Park the machine on a level surface. Move the parking brake control to the ENGAGED position. Move the ejector control to the HOLD position and shut off the engine. Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
- Remove the dust cap and install a 6900 kPa (1000 psi) pressure gauge on the test fitting for the pilot pressure in the ejector system.
ReferenceRefer to Testing and Adjusting, "General information" for the location of the test fitting for the machine that is being tested.
- Start the engine and run the engine at low idle.
- Ensure that the braking system is fully charged. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Brake System Charging Pressure - Check".
Ensure that the system is at standby. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Piston Pump (Brake, Ejector, Fan) - Test and Adjust".
- Record the pressure that is displayed on the pressure gauge. The pressure should be 3450 ± 700 kPa (500 ± 100 psi).
If the pressure is correct, proceed to step 6.
If the pressure is incorrect, the pressure must be adjusted. Shut off the engine.
- Use the following procedure in order to adjust the pressure setting for the pressure reducing valve:
- Remove end cap (a) from pressure reducing valve (1) in order to access adjustment screw (b) .
Note: Cap (a) will be broken when the cap is removed.

(c) Jam nut
- Loosen jam nut (c) .
- Turn adjustment screw (b) , which is inside of pressure reducing valve (1f) in order to adjust the pressure.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise in order to increase the pressure.
Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure.
Note: Turning adjustment screw (b) by 90 degrees clockwise will increase the pressure setting by approximately 350 kPa (50 psi). Turning adjustment screw (b) by 90 degrees counterclockwise will decrease the pressure setting by approximately 350 kPa (50 psi).
- Tighten jam nut (c) .
- Repeat the procedure from step 2.
- Remove end cap (a) from pressure reducing valve (1) in order to access adjustment screw (b) .
- Shut off the engine and remove the pressure gauge from the machine.
- Remove the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".
