Removal Procedure

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

1. Release latch (1) .

2. Remove cover (2) from the air cleaner housing.

3. Remove primary air filter element (4) from air cleaner housing (3) .

4. Remove secondary air filter element (5) from air cleaner housing (3) .

5. Loosen clamp (6) and disconnect hose (10) from air cleaner housing (3) .

6. Loosen clamp (9) and disconnect hose (11) from air cleaner housing (3) .

7. Remove screws (7) and open clamps (8). Remove air cleaner housing (3) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install air cleaner housing (3) and close clamps (8). Install screws (7) .

2. Connect hose (11) to air cleaner housing (3) and tighten clamp (9) .

3. Connect hose (10) to air cleaner housing (3) and tighten clamp (6) .

4. Install secondary air filter element (5) in air cleaner housing (3) .

5. Install primary air filter element (4) in air cleaner housing (3) .

6. Install cover (2) on the air cleaner housing.

7. Secure latch (1) .
