Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".

  2. Remove the engine bottom guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard (Engine) - Remove and Install".

  1. Remove three bolts (1), five bolts (2), bolt (4) and guard assembly (3).

  2. Release the tension and remove three V-belts (5).

  3. Remove jam nut (9).

  4. Remove locknut (6).

  5. Remove spring (7).

  6. Remove four bolts (10) and shaft assembly (8) from the engine.

  7. Remove pin (12), cotter pin (14), retainer (13) and washer (11) from spring (7).

  8. Remove bolt (15) and washer (16).

  9. Remove arm assembly (17) from shaft assembly (8).

  10. Remove four bolts (18) and cover (19).

  11. Remove gasket (20).

  12. Remove bolt (21) and two washers (22).

  13. Remove pulley (23) from arm assembly (17).

  14. Remove spacer (24) and lip seal (25).

  15. Remove ball bearing (26).

  16. Remove spacer (27).

  18. Remove retainer ring (29).
