Body Retaining Pin

Usage:

777D AGC

------ WARNING! ------

A raised body (bed) may fall unexpectedly and without warning resulting in personal injury or death.

When it is necessary to work under the truck with the body (bed) raised, install the body (bed) retaining pin through the pin bore in the frame and the retaining bracket on the body.

Note: Earlier machines were shipped with two body retaining pins. Later machines were shipped with one body retaining pin. Earlier machines and later machines require the installation of one body retaining pin to properly secure the body in the raised position.

  1. Remove all material and any residue from the body before the body is pinned in the fully raised position.

  1. Pull rod (1) and remove retaining pin (2) from the stored position.

  1. Raise the body to the fully raised position.

  1. Install retaining pin (2) through pin bore (4) in the frame and retaining bracket (3) on the body, as shown.

    Note: The following steps are for the removal of the body retaining pin.

  1. Raise the body to the fully raised position.

  1. Remove retaining pin (2) .

  1. Lower the body.

  1. Pull rod (1) and install retaining pin (2) in the stored position.
