The propel ECM diagnostic code lamp is an output from the ECM. The purpose of this lamp is to notify the operator when a problem with the propel control system is present.
Three types of problems can be detected:
- Electrical problems
- Sensor calibration problems
- Machine operation problems
When a problem is detected, the ECM provides a 24 volt signal to the lamp in order to illuminate the lamp. The ECM will continue to operate at whatever extent possible with the current problem. Additional information about the problem can be obtained by examining the diagnostic display on the ECM. When the lamp is off, the ECM is providing a zero volt signal to the lamp. The deiagnostic code lamp is located on the machine operating station panel. Immediately after the key switch is turned on, the lamp is turned on for three seconds to test the bulb, the lamp will then turn off if no propel control system problems are present.
